Untitled (studs)>> a work that falls somewhere between allegory and abstraction while exploring the body's relationship to the built environment and some too often binarized/gendered "cladding." The work consists of the performer's strange struggle to strap as many ten-foot steel wall studs to their high-heeled body as possible using panty-hose. The process is intended to shake off binary associations with certain tropes of dress and labor, abstracting them through a strange sort of dance.
